Camels
In Australia there are some 400,000 head of wild /farmed camels. No other introduced species has so readily thrived in the tough Australian Landscape with such minimal effect on the environment.
In the middle East sport of Camel racing is an enormous industry that rivals the international horse racing industry. Wealthy interests finance breeding and importing programs. It is expected that Australias wild/farmed Camel population with its unique genetic material will provide new blood lines from these breeding lines.
The export of Camel meat is now creating an interest from the international meat industry comparative technical information shows that the fat content of Camel meat is considerably less than beef.

Camel Meat
Low in cholesterol and high in protein, Camel meat is similar in taste and texture to beef. Camel meat is becoming more readily available to supermarket chains throughout the country. Australian chemical free camel meat is being accepted as an international trading meat product. Now exporting to the Middle East, throughout Asia, Canada, the USA, and Europe.
Camel is available in carcass form or fresh chilled / frozen vacuum-packed cuts.
